Description of exercise The Caregiver passive arm crossover exercise is a simple and gentle stretching exercise that can be done by a caregiver to help improve the range of motion in a patient’s arms. To perform this exercise, the caregiver stands behind the patient and gently crosses the patient’s arms over their chest. The caregiver then holds the patient’s elbows and gently pulls them towards the opposite shoulder, stretching the arm muscles. This exercise helps to improve flexibility and mobility in the arms, making daily activities easier for the patient. It can also help prevent stiffness and muscle tightness in the arms. It is important for the caregiver to communicate with the patient and ensure they are comfortable throughout the exercise.
