Description of exercise Upper chest breathing exercise, also known as clavicular breathing, is a technique that focuses on expanding and contracting the upper chest area while breathing. This exercise is beneficial for improving lung capacity, increasing oxygen intake, and reducing stress and anxiety. To perform this exercise, sit or stand in a comfortable position and place your hands on your upper chest. Inhale slowly through your nose, allowing your chest to rise and expand. Exhale through your mouth, pushing the air out and allowing your chest to fall. Repeat this for several breaths, focusing on using your upper chest muscles instead of your stomach. This exercise can be done anytime, anywhere and can help promote relaxation and mindfulness.
Do each time for how long Do this for 10 times, or do as many times instructed by your doctor.
Do daily for how many time Do daily two times, or do as per instructed by your doctor.
Do for how many days Do for two to three weeks, or do upto days told by your doctor.
How to do exercise
  • Sit with proper posture.
  • Place hands on upper chest, just below collar bone.
  • Maintain a light, yet firm pressure downward.
  • Slowly breath in through nose, pushing chest up against hands.
  • Exhale through pursed lips.
  • Repeat.
