Description of exercise | Sun salutation beginner (part 3) is the third part of the traditional yoga sequence that consists of a series of 12 asanas or postures. This part focuses on building strength and flexibility in the upper body, particularly the arms, shoulders, and chest. The sequence begins with the downward facing dog, which stretches the entire body and strengthens the arms and shoulders. It is followed by the plank pose, which engages the core muscles and builds upper body strength. Next, the cobra pose opens up the chest and strengthens the back muscles. The sequence ends with the child’s pose, which allows for relaxation and stretching of the spine.
