Description of exercise The stretch shoulder abduction exercise is a simple yet effective movement that helps to improve shoulder mobility and flexibility. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and arms by your sides. Slowly raise one arm up and out to the side, keeping it straight and parallel to the ground. Hold for a few seconds before lowering the arm back down. Repeat on the other side. How to do exercise
  • Begin with child on their back and arm at side.
  • Place one hand over shoulder to keep shoulder blade stable.
  • Gently grasp forearm and slowly raise arm out to side and overhead until a gentle stretch is felt.
  • Hold and repeat.
