Description of exercise | Straight leg open close exercise is a simple yet effective lower body workout that targets the inner thighs and glutes. To perform this exercise, lie on your back with your legs straight and arms by your sides. Slowly open your legs out to the sides as far as you can, then bring them back together. This movement mimics the motion of opening and closing scissors, hence the name. It can be modified by placing a resistance band around your ankles for added resistance. This exercise helps improve hip mobility, strengthens the inner thigh muscles, and can also help alleviate lower back pain. It is a great addition to any lower body workout routine. |
