Description of exercise Standing breaststroke exercise is a low-impact aerobic exercise that targets the chest, arms, and legs. It involves standing in a shallow pool or on land, with feet shoulder-width apart and arms by the sides. The movement begins with a slow, sweeping motion of the arms out to the sides and then back to the starting position, mimicking the motion of a breaststroke swim. At the same time, the legs perform a frog-like kick, bending at the knees and then straightening out. This exercise helps improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthens the upper body and leg muscles, and can be modified for different fitness levels by increasing or decreasing the speed and intensity of the movements.
