Description of exercise | The standing arm bicycle exercise is a low-impact cardiovascular exercise that involves pedaling your arms as if riding a bicycle while standing. This exercise targets the muscles in your arms, shoulders, and upper back, while also engaging your core muscles for stability. It is a great warm-up exercise before a workout or a standalone exercise for those with limited mobility. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms bent at the elbows. Begin pedaling your arms in a circular motion, as if riding a bicycle, while keeping your core engaged and your shoulders relaxed. You can increase or decrease the speed and resistance to make the exercise more challenging. |
