Description of exercise | Stair stepping down (non recip) w/assist is a lower body exercise that involves stepping down from a raised platform, such as a step or stair, with the assistance of a support or railing. This exercise primarily targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes, while also engaging the core and calf muscles. It is a great exercise for improving balance, coordination, and lower body strength. To perform this exercise, stand facing a step or stair with one hand on a support or railing for balance. Step down with one foot, lowering your body until your heel touches the ground. Then, push through your heel to return to the starting position. Repeat on the other side.
