Description of exercise Shoulder push out exercise is a strengthening exercise that targets the muscles in the shoulders and upper back. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides. Slowly raise your arms out to the sides, keeping them straight, until they are parallel to the ground. Hold for a few seconds, then slowly lower your arms back to your sides.
