Description of exercise The Shoulder backward cane stretch exercise is a simple yet effective stretch that targets the muscles in the shoulders, upper back, and chest. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a cane or broomstick behind your back with both hands. Keep your arms straight and slowly raise the cane up towards your head, feeling a stretch in your shoulders and chest. Hold for a few seconds and then slowly lower the cane back down. This exercise helps improve flexibility and range of motion in the shoulders, as well as relieve tension and tightness in the upper body. It can also help improve posture and prevent shoulder injuries.
Do each time for how long Do this for 10 times, or do as many times instructed by your doctor.
Do daily for how many time Do daily two times, or do as per instructed by your doctor.
Do for how many days Do for two to three weeks, or do upto days told by your doctor.
How to do exercise
  • Hold one end of cane in hand of involved arm, other end with other hand.
  • Keep elbow of involved arm straight and use other arm to push involved arm backward as shown.
  • Hold and repeat.
