Other names of exercise Sensory vestibular input
Description of exercise Sensory vestibular input exercises are activities that involve movement and balance to stimulate the vestibular system, which is responsible for our sense of balance and spatial orientation. These exercises can include activities such as spinning, swinging, and balancing on unstable surfaces. They are often used in occupational therapy to help individuals improve their balance, coordination, and overall sensory processing skills. These exercises can be beneficial for people with sensory processing disorders, as well as those with balance and coordination issues. By providing specific and controlled vestibular input, these exercises can help individuals regulate their sensory responses and improve their overall functioning.
