Description of exercise | The self assist leg pushout exercise is a lower body strength training exercise that targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. It involves sitting on the edge of a chair or bench with your feet flat on the ground and your hands placed on the sides of the chair for support. From this position, you push your legs out straight in front of you, engaging your leg muscles to lift your feet off the ground. Then, using your hands for support, you slowly lower your feet back to the ground. This exercise can be modified for different fitness levels by adjusting the distance of the pushout and the speed of the movement. It is a great exercise for building leg strength and improving balance and stability. |
