Description of exercise The Lion exercise is a form of yoga pose that mimics the fierce and powerful stance of a lion. It is also known as Simhasana in Sanskrit, where “Simha” means lion and “asana” means pose. This exercise is believed to have originated in ancient India and has been practiced for its physical and mental benefits. To perform the Lion exercise, one must kneel on the floor with the hands on the knees, open the mouth wide, stick out the tongue, and roar like a lion. This exercise is said to relieve tension and stress, improve vocal strength, and stimulate the thyroid gland. It is also believed to promote confidence and courage.
Do each time for how long Do this for 10 times, or do as many times instructed by your doctor.
Do daily for how many time Do daily two times, or do as per instructed by your doctor.
Do for how many days Do for two to three weeks, or do upto days told by your doctor.
How to do exercise
  • Kneel with buttocks resting on heels.
  • Place hands on knees, back, neck, and elbows straight.
  • Inhale while trying to expand spine upward.
  • Exhale while arching back, spreading fingers apart, sticking tongue out and downward while looking up with just the eyes.
  • Return to start position and repeat.
