Description of exercise Kneeling leg extensions with crossed foam rolls is a challenging exercise that targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thigh. To perform this exercise, you will need two foam rolls or towels and a mat. Start by kneeling on the mat with your feet behind you and your hands on the foam rolls in front of you. Slowly extend one leg behind you, keeping it straight and parallel to the ground. As you extend your leg, cross the foam rolls, one over the other. Hold for a moment and then return to the starting position. Repeat on the other leg. This exercise helps to strengthen and tone the quadriceps muscles, improve balance and stability, and can also help with knee pain and injury prevention.

How to do exercise
  • Kneel on hands and knees on two long foam rolls with foam rolls perpendicular to body as shown.
  • Extend one leg backward and return to start position.
  • Extend other leg backward and return to start position.
  • Repeat sequence.
