Description of exercise Fin half pendulum exercise is a type of physical therapy exercise that involves using a fin or paddle to perform a pendulum motion with the arm. This exercise is often used to strengthen and improve range of motion in the shoulder joint, particularly after an injury or surgery. To perform this exercise, the patient stands with their arm supported on a table or chair, holding onto the fin or paddle. They then move their arm in a circular motion, using the fin to control the movement.
