Description of exercise The Elastic assist shoulder shrug exercise is a strength training exercise that targets the muscles in the upper back and shoulders. It involves using an elastic band to provide resistance while performing a shrugging motion with the shoulders. This exercise helps to improve shoulder stability and strength, as well as posture. To perform the exercise, one end of the elastic band is held in each hand with the arms extended down by the sides. The shoulders are then raised up towards the ears, squeezing the shoulder blades together, and then lowered back down slowly. The elastic band adds an extra challenge to the exercise, making it more effective for building muscle and improving overall shoulder function.
