Description of exercise Elastic assist hip hike exercise is a strengthening and stretching exercise that targets the muscles in the hips, thighs, and glutes. It involves using an elastic band or resistance band to assist in lifting one leg while the other leg remains stationary. To perform this exercise, one must stand with the elastic band around the ankles, lift one leg to the side while keeping the other leg straight, and then return to the starting position. How to do exercise
  • Attach elastic to secure object at shoulder height.
  • Stand on elevated surface with involved leg as shown.
  • Loop elastic under uninvolved foot.
  • Keep knees straight.
  • Lift uninvolved hip upward and lower.
  • Repeat.
