Description of exercise DB side step touch shoulder to waist exercise is a full-body workout that targets the shoulders, waist, and legs. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Take a step to the side with your right foot and bring your left foot to meet it, while simultaneously lifting your right arm up to touch your left shoulder. Return to the starting position and repeat on the other side. As you step and touch, engage your core and keep your back straight. This exercise helps improve balance, coordination, and strengthens the muscles in your upper body and legs.

How to do exercise
  • Stand on step on left leg holding weights in hands at shoulder level.
  • Bend left knee and touch right toe to floor to the side as shown.
  • Return, lowering arms to waist level.
  • Repeat.
