Description of exercise | Cat crouch exercise, also known as cat-cow pose, is a yoga pose that involves moving between two positions, resembling a cat and a cow. In this exercise, one starts on all fours, with hands and knees shoulder-width apart. The first position, resembling a cat, involves arching the back upwards and dropping the head towards the chest. The second position, resembling a cow, involves dropping the belly towards the floor, lifting the head and tailbone upwards. This exercise helps to stretch and strengthen the spine, improve flexibility and posture, and relieve tension in the back and neck. It is also believed to have a calming effect on the mind and body. |
