Description of exercise The caregiver Pec minor stretch exercise is a simple and effective way to improve flexibility and reduce tension in the chest and shoulder muscles. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms by your sides. Place your right hand behind your back with your palm facing outwards and your left hand on your right elbow. Gently pull your right elbow towards your left shoulder until you feel a stretch in your chest and shoulder. Hold for 15-20 seconds and then switch sides. This exercise can be done multiple times throughout the day and is especially beneficial for caregivers who may experience tightness in their chest and shoulders from lifting and carrying tasks.
Do each time for how long Do this for 10 times, or do as many times instructed by your doctor.
Do daily for how many time Do daily two times, or do as per instructed by your doctor.
Do for how many days Do for two to three weeks, or do upto days told by your doctor.
How to do exercise
  • Lie on back with arms at sides.
  • Partner places one hand at the small depression between the shoulder and chest.
  • Partner pushes down and slightly upward.
  • Hold, relax and repeat.
  • Repeat with other side.
