It involves sliding the heel of the foot towards the buttocks, while keeping the leg straight. This exercise helps to improve range of motion in the knee and ankle joints, as well as increase blood flow to the lower extremities. It is often recommended for individuals who have limited mobility or are recovering from an injury or surgery. The caregiver can assist by gently pushing the heel towards the buttocks, while the individual relaxes and allows the leg to slide back. This exercise can be repeated several times a day for optimal results. |
