Description of exercise Cane assist side arm raise is an upper body strengthening exercise that uses a cane or walking stick for support. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the cane in one hand, resting it on the side of your body. Slowly raise your arm out to the side, keeping it straight and parallel to the ground. Hold for a few seconds, then lower your arm back down. The cane provides stability and support, making this exercise accessible for those with balance or mobility issues. It can also help improve posture and increase range of motion in the shoulders.
Do each time for how long Do this for 10 times, or do as many times instructed by your doctor.

How to do exercise
  • Hold cane in both hands, involved palm up, arms at side, elbows straight.
  • Use uninvolved arm to help raise involved arm up and away from side through available range as shown.
  • Return to starting position.
