Description of exercise | Cane assist side arm raise is an upper body strengthening exercise that uses a cane or walking stick for support. It primarily targets the shoulder muscles, including the deltoids, trapezius, and rotator cuff muscles. To perform this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the cane in one hand, resting it on the side of your body. Slowly raise your arm out to the side, keeping it straight and parallel to the ground. Hold for a few seconds, then lower your arm back down. The cane provides stability and support, making this exercise accessible for those with balance or mobility issues. It can also help improve posture and increase range of motion in the shoulders. |
