Description of exercise DB step down touch shoulder to waist exercise is a lower body exercise that targets the glutes, hamstrings, and quadriceps muscles. To perform this exercise, you will need a pair of dumbbells and a step or elevated surface. Start by standing on the step with your feet shoulder-width apart and holding the dumbbells at your sides. Step one foot down off the step and lower your body into a lunge position, making sure your knee does not go past your toes. At the same time, bring the opposite dumbbell up towards your shoulder. Push through your front heel to stand back up on the step and lower the dumbbell back to your side. Repeat on the other side, alternating between legs and arms. This exercise helps improve lower body strength, balance, and coordination.

  • Stand on step on left leg holding weights in hands at shoulder level.
  • Bend left knee and touch right heel to floor.
  • Return while lowering arms to waist height.
