  • Place child on their knees next to a small stool or couch, letting them use their arms for support.
  • Place one hand one their hips, the other on their trunk.
  • Help them shift weight to one knee and bring other foot up so foot and heel is flat on floor.
  • Apply slight downward pressure with your hands.
  • Repeat with other knee.
