Description of exercise | Elastic assist hip hike exercise is a strengthening and stretching exercise that targets the muscles in the hips, thighs, and glutes. It involves using an elastic band or resistance band to assist in lifting one leg while the other leg remains stationary. This exercise helps to improve hip stability and mobility, as well as strengthen the muscles involved in hip abduction and adduction. It can also help with balance and coordination. To perform this exercise, one must stand with the elastic band around the ankles, lift one leg to the side while keeping the other leg straight, and then return to the starting position. It can be modified to increase or decrease the resistance based on individual fitness levels. |
