An elastic band is then attached to the sound leg and anchored to a stable object in front. The individual must then maintain balance while pulling the band forward and backward with their sound leg, engaging the core and leg muscles. This exercise helps strengthen the muscles in the amputated leg and improves overall balance, making daily activities easier for amputees. It can also be modified for individuals with different levels of amputation. |
