Description of exercise The pool back extend exercise is a low-impact workout that targets the muscles in the back, shoulders, and core. It is performed in the shallow end of a pool, with the person standing in waist-deep water. The exercise involves extending the arms out in front of the body and then slowly pulling them back, squeezing the shoulder blades together. This movement engages the back muscles and helps improve posture and stability. It also provides resistance from the water, making it a challenging but safe exercise for people of all fitness levels. Additionally, the buoyancy of the water reduces the impact on the joints, making it a great option for those with injuries or joint pain.
