The goal of Assisted Segmental Breathing Exercise is to increase lung capacity, improve oxygenation, and promote relaxation.
Do each time for how long Do this for 10 times, or do as many times instructed by your doctor.
Do daily for how many time Do daily two times, or do as per instructed by your doctor.
Do for how many days Do for two to three weeks, or do upto days told by your doctor.
How to do exercise
  • Sit upright.
  • Wrap towel or belt around lower ribs and abdomen as shown.
  • Grasp ends of towel.
  • Breathe in slowly and deeply, through the nose, loosening towel slightly.
  • Breathe out slowly through pursed lips, tightening towel.
  • Just prior to breathing in, quickly tighten the belt and then relax it as you breathe in.
