Description of exercise | Active jaw open stretch exercise is a simple yet effective way to improve jaw mobility and reduce tension in the jaw muscles. To perform this exercise, start by sitting in a comfortable position with your head and neck in a neutral position. Next, slowly open your mouth as wide as you can without causing any pain or discomfort. Hold this position for a few seconds, then slowly close your mouth. Repeat this movement for 10-15 times. This exercise helps to stretch and strengthen the muscles in the jaw, promoting better jaw movement and relieving tension. It can also be beneficial for those who suffer from jaw pain or temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ). |
